Footprints in the Snow

This is a book about the life of a Chinese (China born) Buddhist monk. Finally finished this. Like other books, I though I may never complete this. Haha

The book started with his childhood, before the World War. It was quite slow, and I though I would lost interest. Things started to pick up when he moved to Shanghai because the Koumingtan Army forced them out of his original staying place.

From there, he joined the KTM army and left for Taiwan. Taiwan turned out to be the pivot of his life and career.

His description of the situation in that period is very vivid and of historical value, at least to me. His description of the his style of teaching Zen is equally fascinating and sophisticated. These were the reason that kept me to the end of the book. :)
